Veronica Shirkevich
Veronica Shirkevich joined the Ludwig and Company Management Team in 2018. She currently oversees daily operation of the Affordable portfolio located on the Illinois North Shore. Veronica brings to Ludwig and Company over two decades of executive level property management expertise. Her previous Regional Management experience includes management of Market, Public Housing, HCV and Tax Credit properties totaling over 2,000 units.
Veronica has attained a bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Management from St. Petersburg University, in Russia and also received certification from the Public Housing Executive Directors’ Educational Program at Rutgers University, Center of Government Studies. Veronica holds accreditations as a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist, Licensed Public Housing Manager and a Registered National Housing Manager. Her innovative housing and community development programs and project experience has gained media recoginition, including multiple National Housing Authority Redelopment Association Awards for enriching residents’ lives in both Lake and Cook County Housing. Speaking two languages fluently, English and Russian and understanding most Eastern European languages, assists in providing exceptional client support.
As a Regional Property Manager, Veronica is responsible for oversite of operational and financial goals set for each property in her portfolio. Her responsibilities also include oversight of the day to day operations of her portfolio. Veronica supports onsite Property Managers to ensure that they have the tools to implement and enforce all Ludwig and Company policies and procedures.
Working closely with Rosemary Wellington, Director of Compliance, and the city, state, and federal housing authorities, Veronica assures that Illinois properties are following all government regulations including auditing of resident files to verify that proper documentation related to government programs is properly organized.
By building a positive working environment and maintaining strong client relations, Veronica ensures that excellent customer service and support are provided to our residents. Veronica’s concentration on identifying and implementing creative strategies and Property Management training processes has elevated the standard of the services provided to residents.
As a resident of Lake County, Veronica is passionate about her position and takes pride in enhancing the quality of life of Lake County residents and our communities.
